Terms of use

hanime is for adults only. By using the site you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and that viewing adult animation is legal in your jurisdiction.

All content depicts fictional characters who are adults. Nothing on the site is a recording of a real person.

Accounts are personal. Do not share your password, scrape the site, attempt to disrupt it, or post comments that harass other people, advertise, or link to other sites. Accounts that break these rules may be removed without notice.

Videos are embedded from third-party hosts. hanime does not store video files and has no control over the availability or behaviour of those hosts.

Privacy

The site stores the minimum needed to run: your username, email address and a hashed password if you register; which episodes you have liked, saved or watched if you are signed in; and short-lived cookies used for sessions, view counting and remembering that you accepted the age notice.

During registration, your email address is sent to MailSift to check whether it uses a temporary email provider. Your password is not sent to MailSift.

Server logs containing IP addresses and user agents are kept for a short time for security and abuse prevention. The site does not sell personal data. Advertising partners and embedded video players set their own cookies and are governed by their own policies.

You can delete your account and its associated data at any time from your account settings, or by emailing the site operator.

DMCA and content removal

hanime respects the rights of copyright holders. If you believe content available through this site infringes your copyright, send a notice containing: identification of the work, the exact URL on hanime, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorised, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner, and your physical or electronic signature.

Notices are processed within two business days. Repeat infringers are blocked. Send notices to the abuse address published in the site footer or in the WHOIS record for the domain.

18 U.S.C. 2257 statement

All content on hanime is animation. It does not depict real human beings and is therefore exempt from the record-keeping requirements of 18 U.S.C. 2257 and 28 C.F.R. 75. All characters depicted are intended to be adults.
