The original work has a unique touch that is delicate and somehow realistic.
There is no need for a reason for adolescent sexual desire. A reality that needs no explanation, and a form of “sex” that appears in the margins.
Here, the extraordinary becomes the ordinary, and the ordinary becomes the extraordinary.
“On a Rainy Night”
On a rainy night when he was feeling desperate, a tout (Aine) at a girls’ bar called out to him and he went in, and started to visit the bar several times after that.
About a month later, he met Aine after getting drunk at a stand-up bar during the day. He
heard that she had become unemployed.
As he listened to her endless complaints and looked after her, the two of them ended up alone in a park toilet.
“Summer”
The school pool was bathed in the summer sunshine.
As the boys were cleaning, the female class representative came to help.
Just as they were about to finish, the girl slipped and got soaked with the pool water. He
helped her up by the hand, and as if they shared a mutual understanding, their lips suddenly pressed together.
She said that there was something she wanted to try… and the two spent a summer of their youth together.
