Rio has been sacrificing her own body to protect her friend Hinano — even while a teacher uses her — because she can see how much Hinano is changing under Yua’s influence. When Hinano finally shuts her out with “Yua told me not to talk to you,” Rio is left powerless. Unable to let it go, Rio confronts Yua at a sports store.
